Wanborough v Wroughton Youth

Another day and another close run match against a side with whom we are more than equal. The weather was hot and we expected both sides to tire but it was an entertaining match. Wroughton opened the scoring with a ball that just went across the line when Joel caught it. Wanborough equalised with a trademark goal from Tom Moore and unfortunately Wroughton managed to put another away. Will Sumner had at least two or three shots on goal and also made some great passes into Jacob who worked hard and was unlucky not to score. Cameron had a short at goal and Liam O’Reilly had a great debut match. Joel (our goalie) went on to play on pitch in the second half and was a determined defender whilst Daniel Eastell (this week’s Captain) had a great match and ran fast to counter attacks. In all nobody under-performed and the score was a reflection of two evenly matched teams.

Training back to Dorcan tomorrow for the winter at 6pm.
